VALUABLE SUPPORT FOR OUR PROJECTS
Groupe TAQ is an essential link in the Canadian economy and in the dignity of Quebec's disabled population.
With some 450 employees (73% of whom have functional limitations), Groupe TAQ is part of the valuable pool of SMEs on a transformation trajectory towards large-scale enterprise (500+ employees). To do so, it needs to equip itself with the same financial resources as a private company, to seize opportunities for innovation & growth.
Two strategic
campaign components
The funds raised will be used to:
Create a development and acquisition fund:
- Faber Division: develop a new snowshoe for the North American market by 2026 (Faber, acquired by Groupe TAQ in 2021, is Canada’s leading snowshoe manufacturer);
- Deploy a new place of business in the Portneuf MRC to create 25 jobs for people with disabilities (investment in building and equipment required);
- Acquire companies with the potential to create jobs for people with disabilities.
Other examples of projects are possible depending on business opportunities.
Consolidate achievements:
To face the challenges of the future and pursue its mission, Groupe TAQ intends to rebalance its short- and long-term debt in harmony with its assets.
By continuing its annual investment in equipment ($750K over 3 years) and accelerating the repayment of certain high-interest loans, we:
- Will preserve existing jobs;
- Remain competitive in the subcontracting market;
- Consolidate short-term working capital.
Ambassadors of heart
Alongside two proud employee ambassadors, these business leaders have joined forces with Groupe TAQ to build a more inclusive entrepreneurial Quebec:
« Supporting Groupe TAQ means investing in a more inclusive society where everyone can make their own contribution and thrive through fulfilling employment. This community bond campaign is a unique opportunity to support a humane and successful business model, which proves that social impact and economic success go hand in hand. I invite the entire business community to get involved so that Groupe TAQ can continue to expand and create 50 new, dignified jobs. »
